Recently I was was struck low by the worst case of the flu I have ever known. I went down for the count and was not getting up. But there is a small problem here, we have a farm and regardless, the livestock has to taken care of no matter what. Because you love me, you went out in the cold and dark and tended to our animals. Because you love me you spent hours on end for days morning and night tending the farm. Because you love me, you tended my needs, to make me as comfortable as you could. I saw the love and concern in your eyes. Because you love me, this was not the first time you have done this for me. You have given me a gift I neither deserve nor can fully repay. All I can do is give you my heartfelt thanks for all that you do this day and always.
As I write this I am reminded once again of a far greater love. I am referring to John 3:16. God in Jesus, took human form lived a perfect life then allow himself to be beaten and then crucified. On the third day ROSE again so all who believe in HIM will be saved. Remember those nails did not keep him on that cross... it was his LOVE for you and me. The perfect love that can never be duplicated.
