As the sun sets and the temperature plummets, if you are lucky the wind is not howling. But chores still need to be done. Water needs to be hauled and food needs to be given. Your comfort is secondary to your animal's well being. You work and toil until it is done. You make sure all is taken care of for the night before you head in and take care of your needs.
So remember this on those deep cold nights or raw rainy nights when all you want to do is get inside to a nice meal and get out of the weather. There is a farmer still out there tending the farm.
