At this time of the the year, we experience very deep cold nights. As the temps drop and the wind picks up all of our livestock find a place out of the wind and cold. We go out to do evening chores making sure all have enough to eat is of prime importance. To that end we go around and check on all the ducks and chickens. As we find them, in outer nest boxes or under the coops, we dole out feed to each of them so they do not have to venture out into the cold to get something to eat. They hungerly eat up the food and settle in for the long cold night with a full belly of good food.
